In not terribly surprising news, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released a report on October 30 that telehealth visits increased 50% in 1Q 2020 and 154% in the last week of March 2020 compared to the same periods in 2019. Those increases, of course, coincide with the rise of the COVID-19 pandemic and, in late March, the loosening of regulatory and reimbursement restrictions related to telehealth.
