Owner of telemarketing center convicted after M.D. Fla. trial involving “telemedicine scheme”

Ivan Scott, owner of telemarking center Scott Global, was convicted of conspiracy and healthcare fraud following a four-day trial in the Middle District of Florida in what DOJ termed a “2.8 Million Telemedicine Scheme Against Medicare.” The Scott case involved cancer genetic testing, referred to as CGx, and use of telemedicine doctors in furtherance of the scheme.
